The Office Gastropub Grand Opening

Beer and food. Two of my favorite things. Nothing makes me happier than when they are combined into a lovely gastropub. So when I heard a few months back that David Manero, one of South Florida's biggest restaurateurs, was going to be opening a gastropub in Delray Beach I was excited to see what would come of it. After many months the wait is finally over.

The Office Gastropub will host it's grand opening this Friday night. It is located in the former spot occupied by Louie Louis at 201 E. Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach. They cuisine is said to be "very California in style. . . imaginative American with Asian influences. . . the ultimate gastropub." Hopefully that translates to good. They are said to have around 40 beers on tap.

On Tap Now:
Native Brewing - The Eleven Brown Ale
Holy Mackerel - Special Golden Ale
Inlet Brewing - Monk in the Trunk Belgian Style Organic Amber Ale
Avery - IPA
Rogue - Shakespeare Stout
Dogfish Head - 60 Minute IPA
Victory - Prima Pils
Oskar Blues - Gordon
Stone - Arrogant Bastard Ale
Sea Dog - Blue Paw Blueberry Wheat Ale
plus more

They will be doing a soft opening today if you want to check it out before all the hub bub during the grand opening. If you do please let me know how it is. I hope to check it out this weekend.

  1. We went shortly after they opened this evening for dinner (5PM). Looked like we were the first ones in, but shortly after the dinner tables were filling in very well. Next week they will begin opening at lunch also (11 AM I believe). Tried the Arrogant Bastard Ale-loved it! The burgers are fantastic. Mine included Rolka Blue cheese, bacon, The Office special sauce and a tomato confit.Wonderful! The fries are cut very thin and well seasoned. Presentation is very cute. The silverware is specially wrapped (you'll see when you go) and they've put their own "Stamp" on the hamburger buns.

  3. They seem to be really great at connecting with people too. They're on twitter, facebook, everywhere. They actually communicate with people rather than just spam you like most places.

I wish more bars would adopt this method. It actually gets you interested and you feel like they care.
